Our projects are always
changing with the needs of the people
We must prioritize needs everyday but some
projects are made and reached everyday while others might take weeks,
months, or years.

ADOPT-A-FAMILY |
 |
ADOPT-A-FAMILY
is a program designed to link needy families in our
mission villages with families and individuals in the
United States. Families with school age children
have been selected through pastor referral and an
interview process. Our purpose is to assist families
with life needs and children with school expenses while
developing relationships between our families and our
donors.

PROJECT LEO |

|
LEOCADIO
GUEVARA DIAZ, Leo, is a former Dominican Republic
Marine and professional baseball player for the Detroit
Tigers farm league of Dominican Republic. He moved to Leon to
play professionally for a Central American team, but somehow that did not workout and he is
extremely down about the whole situation. The doors to his
baseball career have been shut and is struggling to deal
with the pain of not being able to play anymore.
He says that he feels like all he can do now is to
make the best of it by coaching the boys at Candelaria and teaching
them about baseball and discipline. |

PROJECT YOUTH GROUP |
 |
OUR YOUTH
GROUP consists of around 100 young adults between
ages 15-25. Every Friday, we truck surrounding
villages into Candelaria in the afternoon for
fellowship, dance, and field games. At 6, we have
a 2 hour gathering for this age group only. The
first hour is full of games and videos. The second
hour is used for worship and a message with supporting
verses. We close in prayer and have snacks and
soft drinks. This project costs over $50 a week
with transportation and snack costs and a few small
expenses in our games and contests. |
